Fay employed as a hard-rock miner. They moved to Thermopolis when he retired 27 years ago. Mrs. McClanahan enjoyed fishing, campind and flower gardening. She was a member of tlje VFW Auxiliary in Thermopoljs, the Golden Age Club, and the Pick and Trowel Rock Club.

She was preceded in death by her husband Jan. 8, 1980, and three brothers. Survivors include one brother, Isaac Bowman, Falls Church, two sisters, Arvetta Whiteman, Romney, W.Va., and Cercja Shauholtz, Ridgeley, W.Va., asd several nieces and nephews. THERMOPOL1S Services for Marie McClanahan, 84, will be held at 10 a.m. Friday at Mortimore Chapel.

Rev. Thomas Boiler of the Community Federated Church will officiate. Burial will be in Monument Hill Cemetery. Mrs. McClanahan died Nov.

6 at Hot Springs County Memorial Hospital after a lengthy illness. She was born Oct. 28, 1899 in West Virginia, to James and Rosa Bowman. On March II, 1937, she married Thomas McClanahan in Arlington, Va. They traveled around the country as he was Harley Richard Wiley 1 TORRINGTON Services for Mrs.

Grace I. Stevenson, 68, of Torrington, will be held Monday, Nov. 14, at 2 p.m. at the Colyer Funeral Home. Rev.

William H. Webster will officiate. Burial will be in Valley View Cemetery. Mrs. Stevenson died Nov.

8 at a Portland, hospital. She was born Aug. 17, 1915 at Ogallala, the daughter of Ollie and Rosetta McVay. She was reared and educated at Ogallala and completed her education at Gering, Neb. In 1945, she moved to Torrington and later to Porland, returning to Torrington in 1953.

On Sept. 15, 1955, she married Orville Stevenson at Minnie M. CASPER Services for Minnie M. Schauss, 85, will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at Bustard Funeral Home.

Rev. John Gerberding and Rev. James Hytjan of Grace Lutheran Church will officiate. Burial will be at Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Mrs.

Schauss died Nov. 8 at Memorial Hospital of Natrona County following a lengthy illness. She was born March 2, 1898 at Cherokee, Iowa. As a small child, she moved to South Dakota where she was reared and educated. On April 30, 1921, she married Henry Schauss at Mandan, N.D.

Following their marriage they The couple moved to Laramie in 1942. Besides being Laramie's First woman mayor in 1957, she was also the first woman to be elected to the Laramie City Council. She served the city as city clerk for 25 years and operated her own tax service business. Mrs. Fay was a member and past state president of Business and Professional Women's Club; member and past matron of Snowy Range Chpt.

45 of the Order of Eastern Star, receiving a(50-year pin in 1978. She was also active in the Social Order of Beauceant, past president and past worthy high priestess of the White Shrine, past guardian of Job's Daughters and a member of the auxiliaries of the American Legion and VFW, She also was state president of World War 1 Veterans Auxiliary and treasurer of the Wyoming Association of Municipalities. She was preceded in death by her husband in 1966, one brother, and one sister. Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Joseph E. and Janis Jelinek of Laramie; four grandchildren, Armetta Metcalf, Colorado Springs, Joseph C.

Jelinek, UfS. Army in Germany; Valarie Nicholson of Riverton, and Jon G. Jelinek of Laramie; and three greatgrandchildren. Memorials to the American Diabetes P.O. Box 1433, Laramie, or the Shrine Crippled Children's Hospital, co Marie Holm, Virginia St.

and Fairfax, Salt Lake City 84103, would be appreciated by the family. Bussell Funeral Home is in charge of Wheatland. A long time cook at Goshen I County Memorial Hospital, she was a member of the United Presbyterian Church, and Royal Neighbors Camp 9347. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, three sisters and one brother. Survivors include a son, Earl Petsch, Torrington; a daughter, Mrs.

Frank Mueller of Portland, three sisters, Mrs. Vena Jennings, Couer d'Alene, Idaho; Mrs. Edith Sorrick, Torrington, and Mrs. Opal Bryant, Portland, and a brother, James McVay, Golden, Colo. Memorials to tbe Heart Fund would be appreciated by the family.

Schauss came to Casper where they have made their home since. Mrs. Schauss was a member of Grace Lutheran Church. She was preceded in death by three brothers and two sisters. Survivors include her husband, two sons, Ralph and Robert; two daughters, Mrs.

John (Eileen) Coughlin and Mrs. Clinton (Margaret) Wyatt, all of Casper; two sisters, Mrs. Bertha Chyles and Mrs. Ella Behren, both of Mandan, N.D., 13 grandchildren, seven greit-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate memorials to Meals on Wheels or Blue Envelope Heart Fund. 9 at his home in Thermopolis following a long illness. Born Jan. 24, 1918 at Pierce, he was the son of the late William and Clara Wiley. He farmed in Nebraska before moving to Wyoming in 1949. On April 4, 1938, he married Ethel Beltz at Hardington, Neb.

Mr. Wiley had been construction foreman for Smith Construction Co. at Thermopolis for 15 years. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Elmer and Lyle, and an infant son.

9 at Shepherd of the Valley Care Center following a long illness. She was born March 1, 1902 at Cherry Tree Pa. She came to Casper in 1952 from Westover, Pa. On July 2, 1918, she married Harvey G. Weakland at Coalport, Pa.

Mrs. Weakland was a member: of the Church of Christ. She was preceded in death by her husband in 1980 and two sons. Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Kathryn McDermott of Mills, and Margaret Bailey of IlARAMIE Longtime Laramie resident and the first Woman mayor of Laramie, Josephine F.

Fay, 74, died Nov. 8 at Bethesda Care Center in Laramie. Services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at St. Matthews Episcopal Cathedral with Very Rev.

Forrest Moblcy officiating. Burial will be in Greenhill Cemetery. She was born June 30, 1909 at Junction City, and was reared and educated in Kansas, receiving a bachelor's degree at Kansas State University in 1932. On Jan. 1, 1930, she married George Jelinek and later married Charles W.

MILLER Services set today Samy D. Miller CASPER Services for Samy D. Miller, 31 of Mills, will be held at 11:30 a.m. Thursday at Bustard Funeral Home. Rev.

Dan Carlen of the World Christian Fellowship will officiate. Burial will be in Highland Cemetery'. Mr. Miller died Nov. 8 at Memorial Hospital of Natrona County from injuries sustained in an accident Nov.

2. He-was born Sept. 28, 1952 at Miles City, Mont. As an infant, he moved to Torrington and then to Riverton and later to Grand Junction, Colo. He came to Casper in 1967 and attended Natrona County High School.

He enlisted in the U.S. Army following high school and upon his discharge in 1974, he returned to Casper where he worked for his father in Sam's Drilling Co. He also worked for Parker Drilling and United Rent All. He was preceded in death by one brother, W.R. (Bob) Miller in 1972.

Survivors include two daughters, Heather Dawn of Casper, and Sarah Ann of Coulee Dam, his parents, Mr. and Mrs. W.R. (Sam) Miller of Casper; one brother, Steve of Casper; one sister, Jeannette Moore of Evanston, and his grandfather, W.G. Miller, Vernon, Texas.
