Marquis, who has charge of the Sunday school extension work in the Sheridan Presbytery, will leave Friday for six weeks' trip to New York City to deliver a series of, lectures and stereopticon views under the auspices of the Presbyterian Sunday School Board. 0 The funeral of Mrs. Charles Titus will be held tomorrow afternoon at 2 o'clock from the Shaffer chapel.

Interment will be made in the Casper cemetery. 0 Herman Nichols died Sunday afternoon at 2:80 o'clock, after a short illness of pneumonia at one of the local hospitals. His mother from Carterville, was at his bedside when he passed away. The body was taken to the Chamberlin chapel, where it was prepared for interment and will be shipped this evening to his former home at Carterville, Mr. Nichols was formerly chef at the M.

cafe. ACME RUBBER CO. OPENS BRANCH ON WEST FIRST The Acme Rubber Company of Denver, has opened a business establishment in Casper at 121 West First street under the management of E. W. Sharp and W.

C. Harned, The company has installed up-to-date equipment for repairing tires and is also exclusive agents here for the well-known Knight tires. Mr. Sharp will be in charge of 1 the tire repairing department, having had 15 years' experience in this line and has been connected with several of the largest tire manufacturers in the United States. With his skilled work he believes that he can save local tire consumers hundreds of dollars a year.

Mr. Harned is well known here, having been in the furniture business for several years. He has given a close study to the rubber tire industry and believes that the agency for the Knight tire will be a success here. GIRLS FRIENDLY SOCIETY TO GIVE TEA AND MUSICAL AS BENEFIT FOR THE RED CROSS AT KIMBALL HOME The Casper branch of the Girls' Friendly Society in Amreica will give a Red Gross benefit tea and musicale Saturday afternoon at the home of Mrs. Wilson S. Kimball, at 133 North Wolcott street.

The hours will be from, three to six o'clock a and a musical program will be given at ntervals duting this time: On account of the food situation a Hoover Tunch will be served, a and those who desire sugar for their tea are invited to bring the sugar with them. Mrs. B. B. Brooks, an, honorary, associate of the society; Mrs.

J. Beiderman and Mrs. Hugh Li Patton, associates, will preside at the urns. Members of the society will serve, dressed in Red Cross aprons and caps. A number of workers from the gauze and bandage room present in costume, and will demonstrate the making af a Red Cross kit.

The decorations will be in keeping with the, National holiday preceding the day of the tea, George Washington's birthday anniversary, with the added touch of realism given by the Red Cross costumes. Among the excellent local talent who will be on the program during the afternoon are Mrs. H. C. Bretschneider, Paul Bachellor, Miss Bruce McLean, Miss Frances Flannigan, the Rev.

Burns, Dr. C. W. Thomas, Miss Nora O'Mara, Mitchell Carter and Harry Daly. The price of admission at the tea is 25 cents, or as much more as one cares to give, the proceeds to be given to the local Red Cross chapter to be used in obtaining supplies to carry on the work here.

Pm Annual Ball of Casper Fire Department Friday Friday, February 22, is the date set for the annual ball of the Casper firemen, and it will be held in the Ma-1 sonic Temple. Dancing will begin at 9 o'clock, the music to be furnished by the Iris Orchestra. F3 Mrs. J. W.

Burkett, who is in the East doing her spring buying for the Burkett Millinery shop, has sent some very interesting creations in millinery from Moorehead Jardine, The Rouak, Mme. Chekanaw, and the L. F. Castle Company of New York City, all well-known hat shops.
