Gerald "Doc" King officiating. Memorial Chapel is in charge of arrangements. Mr. Lewallen died Nov.

26, 1995, in Casper. He was born Oct 4, 1925, at Mcintosh County, to J.P. Lewallen and Minnie Jane (Turpin) Lewallen. He was raised near Stigler, and lived in various states working in the oil industry. He moved to Casper In 1970 and was a retired driller for Campbell Oil Field Service in Midwest.

He married Joann Nunnally on Nov. 25, 1948, in Yuma, Ariz. He enjoyed woodworking, hunting, fishing, traveling and working on cars. He is survived by his wife, Joann; two sons, Melvin and Dean of Casper; two brothers, Floyd of Mangum, and Olen of Albert, five grandchildren and five greatgrandchildren. He was preceded In death by his parents.

Memorials may be made to the Central Wyoming Cancer Treatment Center and Hospice, in care of Memorial Chapel. Friends may call on Wednesday from 1 to 8 p.m. at Memorial Chapel. Billy Wilbourn Miles Jr. CASPER Memorial services for William "Billy" Wilbourn Miles 42, will be conducted Thursday at 2 of Douglas by Fr.

John Murray of Saint James Catholic Church officiating. Mr. Bernhardt died Nov. 25, 1995, at the Converse County Memorial Hospital. He was born May 26, 1937, in Linton, N.D., the son of Alex and Julie Ann (Mitzel) Bernhardt.

He was raised and educated in Linton, upon graduating from high school, he moved to Boulder, Colo, He worked for IBM, living in various communities. He married Eva (Gates) O'Canna on Oct, 10, 1973, in Raton, N.M. They moved from Longmont, to Douglas in 1992. He was a member of the Royal Order of the Moose Lodge 602 in Douglas and the Elks Lodge in Longmont. He was an avid hunter and fisherman.

Survivors include his wife; son, Mitchell Bernhardt of Oregon; four sisters; five brothers; and two grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother. A memorial to the Diabetes Association would be appreciated. The Converse Funeral Chapel is in charge of the arrangements. June Trevett Greene OAK FOREST, III.

Services for June Trevett Greene, 70, will be held Wednesday at 7:30 p.m. at Smits Funeral Home DeYoung-Vroegh Chapel in South Holland, 111. Mrs. Greene died Nov. 25, 1995, at Rest Haven South Christian Convalescent Home in South Holland, 111.

She was born June 11, 1925, in Casper and was a graduate of the University of Southern California. She was a retired elementary school teacher and taught the last 15 years in Orland Park, 111. She is survived by her husband, William C. Greene of Oak Forest, 111., one daughter, Marti Prunsky of Frankfort, 111., and one son, Michael Greene of Wheaton, one sister, Ruth Litt of Tucson, and three grandchildren. Memorials to Rest Haven Christian Services Scholarship Fund, 16250 So.

Prince South Holland, 111. 60473, in memory of June Greene would be appreciated. He was a member of the Church of Latter-Day Saints 5th Ward and was a past member of the Casper Jaycees. A strong supporter of the Central Wyoming Fair and Rodeo, he enjoyed the rodeo and attended every year, even as his health deteriorated. He was an active participant in the MDA Telethon every Labor Day and worked as a volunteer every year.

He enjoyed time at the homestead ranch at Alcova and being with his family. On July 1, 1983, he married Joellen K. Wood in Moose at the Chapel of the Transfiguration. He was preceded in death by his parents and grandparents. He Is- survived by his wife of Casper, one son, Terry William Miles, and one daughter, Tawna Nicole Miles, both of Casper, and daughters Angela and Krystal of Colorado.

Memorials to the Muscular Dystrophy Association, 2629 Redwing No. 114, Fort Collins, 80526 or to the Central Wyoming Hospice program would be appreciated by the family. Cremation has taken place. Robert Ralph Schofield EVANSTON Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 2 p.m. in the Crandall Funeral Home for Robert Ralph Schofield, 62, who died Nov.

25, 1995, near his home in Wild River Ranches. Mr. Schofield was born Jan. 22, 1933, in Lafayette, the son of Ralph R. and Olive (Wasilkow) Schofield.

He married Mary Davies Roberts in Salt Lake City on Dec. 7, 1984. He was an honorably discharged veteran of the United States Army and was retired from Unisys, where he was employed for 33 years as an electrical engineer. Mr. Schofield loved the Wyoming country and enjoyed biking, skiing, fishing and camping.

He was very talented at woodworking and established Nest Egg," with his wife, creating birdhouses. They had lived in the Evanston area for the past 2 12 years. He is survived by his wife, Mary Roberts Schofield, south of Evanston; children, Susan Martin of Meridian, Idaho; Julie Roberts of Salt Lake City and Christy Roberts of San Francisco and three grandchildren. Friends may call at the funeral home one hour prior to the service. Cremation will follow the funeral services.

Lesta Erlene Newman SHERIDAN Funeral services for Lesta Erlene Newman, 53, will be held on Wednesday at 2 p.m. at Champion Funeral Home in Sheridan with Pastor Chuck Beverly Gartman West at Torrington. They moved from Upton to Torrington in 1970 and he worked for Goshen County Unified School District No. 1. In 1972, he was injured and could only work part time.

In 1982, he became completely disabled. He enjoyed his family and friends as well as his roses, fishing and older cars. He was a member of the Methodist Church in Upton. Survivors include his wife, Beverly, of Torrington; a son, Martin R. West of Torrington, a daughter, Lori L.

Sharp of Alamosa, two brothers, Arnold Duca of Sundance and Jack Duca of Upton; two sisters, Betty J. Durfee of Sundance and Kathy Curry of Douglas and four grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, a granddaughter and two nephews. Memorials have been established to The Epilepsy Foundation and the Swing Bed Unit at Community Hospital. Kenneth J.

Witte GILLETTE Private cremation services have taken place for Kenneth J. Witte, 82, who died Nov. 24, 1995, at Pioneer Manor Nursing Home of natural causes. He was born Sept. 13, 1913, in North Dakota to Theodore W.

and Clementine (Woiwode) Witte. He spent many years overseas with the Peace Corps. He had been a resident of Pioneer Manor Nursing Home since 1990. He is survived by two brothers, John Witte of Boise, Idaho and Jim Witte of Des Moines, Iowa and four sisters, Inez Johnson of Gillette, Murial Witte of Rosebud, S.D., Monica Witte of Pine Ridge, S.D., and Marian Sorenson of Bismarck, N.D. He was preceded in death by three brothers and one sister.

Wilson-Noecker Funeral Home in Gillette was in charge of arrangements. Arthur Dare McCumber THERMOPOLIS Funeral services for Arthur Dare McCumber, 78, will be Thursday at 2 p.m. at Mortimore Funeral Home with Mr. Cal Voigt officiating. Burial will follow at Monument Hill Cemetery.

Mr. McCumber died Nov. 25, 1995, at Hot Springs County Memorial Hospital in Thermopolis after a long illness. He was born April 9, 1917, in a cabin on Owl Creek in Hot Springs County, the son of Charles II. and Leona (Steward) McCumber.

He attended school at Bellview on Owl Creek and graduated from Thermopolis High School. He served with the U.S. Army during World War II and then returned to Thermopolis, where he farmed the remainder of his life. On Feb. 22, 1947, he married Mayva Flejo of New Caledonia, South Pacific in Rock Springs.

He was a member of the VFW Post No. 2281 and enjoyed hunting, fishing and reading. He is survived by his wife, May, of Thermopolis; one son, Donald D. McCumber, Thermopolis; two daughters, Dareen Bellamy of Griffith, and Linda Brost of Riverton; brother, Claire McCumber of Sequin, sister, Blanche Harvey of Thermopolis; 10 grandchildren and three greatgrandchildren. Preceding him in death were his brother, Faye, and three sisters, Lois Heagney, Emma Grable and Ruth Raub.

Memorials may be made to the family. Alexander W. Bernhardt DOUGLAS Services for Alexander W. Bernhardt, 58, will be conducted at 11 am. Tuesday at the Converse Funeral Chapel Memorial Hospital in Wheatland.

She was born March 24, 1944, in Meet, Farnborougli, England, the daughter of Henry George and Enid (Cloke) Pilcher. She was reared and educated in Meet, England. On March 28, 1964, she married Steve Hodges in England. They were later divorced. When she was 24, she immigrated to the United States.

During her life, she worked as a secretary but was mostly a mother and housewife. In 1979, she moved to Wyoming. She enjoyed arts and crafts and cooking and she adored animals. She is survived by a special friend, Steve Goudy of Wheatland, her four daughters, Tessa Eddleman and Amanda Bartlett of Wheatland, Melissa Cooper of Raleigh, N.C., and Danielle Hodges of Southport, N.C.; a sister, Stella Hammond of Hazelbury Plucknet, England and two She was preceded in death by her parents. A memorial to the American Cancer Society, P.O.

Box 5807, Cheyenne, 82003, would be appreciated by the family. The Platte Funeral Chapel of Wheatland is in charge of the arrangements. Fannie E. Jones DOUGLAS Memorial services for Fannie E. Jones, 82, will be held Wednesday at 10:30 a.m.

at the Assembly of God Church in Douglas with the Rev. Elmore Blain officiating. Cremation has taken place under the direction of Memorial Chapel Funeral Home. Ashes will be interred at a later date in Douglas Cemetery. Mrs.

Jones died Nov. 26, 1995, at Michael Manor in Douglas. She was born March 9, 1913, in Seneca, to Walter E. and Charlotte Pearl (Allen) Evans. She moved to Berwyn, and was raised by her grandmother.

She married Glenn J. Jones on Nov. 25, 1933, in North Platte and lived in and around Berwyn until Mr. Jones finished service in World War II. They moved to Wyoming and worked on various ranches in the Gillette area.

In the 1950s, Mr. Jones worked road construction and lived in Wyoming and Idaho. In 1971, Mr. and Mrs. Jones began traveling from job to job in a camp trailer.

They retired in 1982 and made their permanent residence in Douglas. Mrs. Jones enjoyed making candy, canning apple butter and reading. Survivors include her daughters, Cheryl Roediger of Glendo and Linda Hershberger of Douglas, two grandchildren and one great-granddaughter. She was preceded in death by her husband on May 20, 1993, her parents and two sisters, Bessie Flebbe and Pearl Boardman.

Memorials may be made to the Parkinson Disease Foundation or the American Cancer Society. Fedelia Cruz RAWLINS Funeral Mass will be celebrated for Fedelia Cruz, 75, at 10 a.m. Tuesday at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Rawlins with Fr. Malcolm Reid officiating.

Rosary was said Monday at St. Joseph Church. Interment will be in Rawlins Cemetery. Mrs. Cruz died Nov.

24, 1995, at her home in Rawlins. She was born April 24, 1920, in Ojofeliz, N.M., and married Jose L. Cruz on April 9, 1937. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church.

She is survived by two sons, Gene and Roy, of Rawlins and two daughters, Donna Smith of Eminence, and Esther Jaramillo of Evans, seven grandchildren and six greatgrandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband on Oct. 5, 1987. p.m. at Memorial Chapel by Bishop Klamm of the Second Ward LDS Church.

Mr. Miles died Nov. 25, 1995, at MILES his home in Casper after a lengthy battle with muscular dystrophy. He was born June 15, 1953 in Casper, the son of W. Wilbourn and Leora V.

(Hooper) Miles. He was raised on the family ranch at Alcova and was active in 4-H. He moved to Casper and graduated from Natrona County High School in 1971 after being very active in FFA. He attended Eastern Wyoming College in Torrington and received an associate's degree in accounting from Casper College. Mr.

Miles worked on the family ranch for a time and was a Certified Realtor. He then went to work for Dikster, Ward and Witcher as a landman in the late 1970s. He was employed by Gulf as a senior administrative land clerk until the merger with Chevron in 1986. Mr. Miles then attended Casper College and was employed by Ernst at the time of his death.

1 Lucas officiating. Interment will be in the Elks Cemetery in Sheridan. Mrs. Newman died Nov. 24, 1995, at Memorial Hospital of Sheridan.

She was born Feb. 8, 1942, at Salida, the daughter of William Earl and Vonda L. (Morgan) Confer. She was a resident of Sheridan for the past 28 years. She married Jack L.

Newman on April 23, 1965 in Fort Collins, Colo. She was a homemaker who enjoyed cooking, canning, gardening and sewing. She was a loving mother and grandma. She was preceded in death by her son, Kevin Scott Newman and one brother, Richard Survivors include her husband, Jack, of Sheridan; two daughters, Jackie L. Scheckla of Sheridan and Terri S.

Frank of Powell; her parents, William and Vonda Confer of Buena Vista, one brother, Bill A. Confer of Herford, Texas and seven grandchildren. Memorials in memory of Mrs. Newman may be designated for the Animal Shelter, in care of Delphine Toner, First Interstate Bank, Sheridan, 82801. Elizabeth Wiedeman Rutz WHEATLAND Funeral services for Elizabeth Wiedeman Rutz, 88, will be held Tuesday at 11 a.m.

at the United Church of Christ with the Rev. Richard Putney officiating. Interment will be in the Wheatland Cemetery. Mrs. Rutz died Nov.

24, 1995, at the Platte County Memorial Hospital Nursing Wing in Wheatland. She was born Jan. 30, 1907, in New Denoff, Russia, the daughter of John and Dorothy (Foss) Wiedeman. When she was six months old, the family came to America through Ellis Island and moved to Russell, Kan. In 1914, after the death of her mother, the family moved to Fort Collins, Colo.

On Dec. 26, 1923, she married John J. Rutz in Windsor, Colo. In 1937, they moved to Wheatland and farmed there until their retirement in 1965. Mrs.

Rutz was a member of the United Church of Christ and an active member of the Dorcus Society. She loved to quilt and crochet and was an avid gardener. She was devoted to her family and enjoyed cooking traditional German dishes for them. She is survived by her three children, Harold Rutz of Torrington, Beverly Hitt and LeRoy Rutz, both of Wheatland; one brother, Ben Wiedeman of Fort Collins, several half-brothers and sisters, eight grandchildren and 16 greatgrandchildren. The Platte Funeral Chapel is in charge of the arrangements.

A memorial to the United Church of Christ or to the Platte County Memorial Hospital Nursing Wing would be appreciated by the family. Glenys Hodges WHEATLAND Funeral services for Glenys Hodges, 51, will be held Wednesday at 10:30 a.m. at the Platte Funeral Chapel with Pastor Timm Brom of Wheatland Bible Church officiating. Blissard THERMOPOLIS Funeral services for Margaret I. Blissard, 77, will be Friday at 2 p.m. at the Mortimore Funeral Home in Thermopolis. Mrs. Blissard died Nov.

26, 1995 at Hot Springs County Memorial Hospital following a lengthy illness. She was born Aug. 29, 1918, in Thermopolis, the daughter of Bill and Loretto (Farrell) Whetstine. She graduated from Thermopolis High School. In September 1936 she married George Blissard in Worland.

She worked at various jobs in the Thermopolis area, including operating the lunch counter at Lib's Walgreen Drug. For several years, she was a nurse's aide at Hot Springs County Memorial Hospital. She was a resident of the Wyoming Retirement Center in Basin at the time of her death. She enjoyed camping and fishing, cooking and reading until she lost her eyesight. She was devoted to her family and friends.

Survivors include her husband, George, of Thermopolis; son, Noel "Denny" Blissard of Osage; daughters Bonnie Nicolen of Yellowstone Park and Dianna Holscher, Osage; sister, Eleanor Snell, Pasadena, Texas; 10 grandchildren and 10 greatgrandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son, Bill; parents, five brothers and one sister. Memorials may be sent to the American Diabetes Association, 400 E. 1st, Suite 205 Casper. 82601.

He was born May 31, 1932, at Sundance, the son of Arthur and Gareta (Ethington) Duca. He grew up and attended schools at Sundance and Upton and he worked as a mechanic in the area. On July 16, 1968, he married.
