He was honorably discharged on Oct. 20, 1945, after serving as a mechanic and welder for the 30th division 117 Infantry. He married Doris Oelkerfon Feb. 22. 1946.

He developed the Bar Bar Ranch and was successful raising sheep and cattle. He was preceded in death' by his wife after a long illness of cancer in 1978.

He married Helen Perkins of Moorcroft on June 7, 1980. He soon retired and sold the ranch to his sons. He then moved to Moorcroft, where he spent his retirement years with his wife. The Lutheran Church was: an important part of his life. Me was a charter member of the Trinity Lutheran Church.

Later, he moved to the Moorcroft congregation where he was a charter member of Bethlehem Lutheran Church and helped build a chapel there. He enjoyed doing woodwork, stained glass, fishing and traveling. Survivors include his wife of Moorcroft, a son, Reuben Ritthaler and his wife of Upton, two daughters, Emma Jean Montgomery and her husband of Dallas and Kenda Ann Ford and her husband of Gillette; a daughter-in-law, eight grands; children and a brother, Raymond Ritthaler of Minneapolis. He was preceded in death by his first wife and a son, Kenneth Walter Ritthaler. A memorial has been established to benefit either the Bethlehem Lutheran Church or the Crook County Hospice and donations may be sent in care of Wilson Funeral Home, P.Gv Box 734, Gillette, 82717.

Harriette B. Kinney LANDER A memorial service for Harriette B. Kinney, 64, will be held the beginning of August. She died July 4, 1998, at the Lander Valley Medical Center. She was born in New York on Nov.

28, 1933, the daughter of Gilbert and Helene (Cole) Ray. Arrangements are under the direction of Hudson's Funeral Home. They made their home in Hartville until moving Into the Platte County Memorial Nursing Home In 1993. He was a member of the Hartville Fire Department, served on the Hartville Town Council, was a member of St. Anthony Catholic Church and the Dante Allegary Society.

He was active in the Hartville Boothill Days and contributed many woodworking projects to the town of Hartville including the boot, Christmas tree and star, as well as many others. Survivors Include four daughters, Lena Dawson of Wheatland, Carolyn Balzan of Torrington, Marilyn Tinsley of llolley, N.Y., and Lucia Alcorn of Hay Springs, a brother, Lendo "Butch" Balzan of Wheatland; sister, Betty Letter-man of San Ysidro, 11 grandchildren and eight greatgrandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife on June 25, 1995, two brothers, Anthony "Tony" Balzan and Bruno Balzan and two sisters, Alma Balzan and Celestina Testolin. Memorials to St. Anthony Catholic Church Scholarship Fund, North Kansas Guernsey, 82214, would be appreciated by the family.

She died July 5, 1998, at Michael Manor after a lengthy illness with cancer. She was born May 25, 1919, in Chadron, the daughter of Joseph and Rose (Lecher) Ehlen. She was raised and educated in Chadron, where she attended and graduated from Catholic schools. She moved to Douglas in 1946 and resided there until her death. She married Clifford C.

at Trinity Lutheran Church, Gillette, with the Rev. Nathan Brandt as officiant. Interment will be at 11:15 a.m. at the Moorcroft Cemetery with full military honors provided by the Moorcroft VFW. Visitation will be today from 2 p.m.

to 7 p.m. at Wilson Funeral Home in Gillette. He died July 5, 1998, peacefully at his home in Moorcroft after a yearlong struggle with cancer. He was born April 20, 1918, in Stickney, S.D., to John and Barbara (Artz) Ritthaler. When he was a month old, his mother took him on a train to Wyoming, where his father had their home waiting for them.

When he was 5, he started school at the Sackett School. Having learned and spoken German at home, he needed to learn English before he was able to start his lessons. He completed the eighth grade. After his schooling, he worked with his father and for neighbors doing ranch labor until he was 17. He then went to work in the oil field.

at the Adams Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Dick Edgerton officiating. Graveside services will follow at the Willow Grove Cemetery. He died July 3, 1998, at the Johnson County Health Care Center. He was born May 14, 1923, in Sheridan, to Harrison and Mildred Walker Sr.

He received his education In Spokane, and graduated from Lewis and Clark High School in 1943. He joined the Navy and received a bachelor's degree from the United States Naval Post Graduate School. He then returned to Washington and received his master's degree from the Whit-worth College in Spokane, Wash. He married Shirley Hansen on May 14, 1944, in Austin, Texas. They lived in numerous places while he worked as a naval aviator.

He retired from the U.S. Navy in 1969 and moved to Buffalo in 1974, where he lived until his death. He was a member of the Silver Eagles Association and the VFW in Buffalo. He loved and served his country with honor. Survivors include two daughters, Karen Walker of Buffalo and Elizabeth Walker of Alexandria, Va.

He was preceded in death by his wife, his parents and one brother. Milton Reay Jones RANDOLPH, Utah Funeral services for Milton Reay Jones, 93, will be held Thursday at noon at the Randolph LDS Ward Chapel. Interment will be in the Randolph Cemetery. Friends may call at the church one hour prior to services. He died July 6, 1998, at his daughter's home in Bountiful, Utah.

He was born Nov. 28, 1904, to John Richard Jones and Jane (Simpson) in Randolph. He married Erma E. Gheen on Sept. 24, 1928, In Randolph.

Their marriage was solemnized on Oct. 2, 1934, in the Salt Lake City LDS Temple. She preceded him in death on Feb. 27, 1991. He was a member of the LDS Church.

He loved his horses, rodeos and antiques. Survivors include his sons, Reay Boyd Jones of Kearns, Utah, Ronald D. Jones of Bountiful and William S. Jones of West Valley, Utah; two daughters, Eyvonne J. Osborn of Evanston and Jeaneen J.

Page of Bountiful; a sister, Alice E. Jones of Evanston; 24 grandchildren, 43 great-grandchildren and 11 great-great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. who immigrated from Calveni, Italy, in 1907. He was raised and educated in Sunrise and graduated from high school there. He worked for Colorado Fuel and Iron all of his adult life and retired after nearly 50 years. He married Rose E. Balzan on May 24.

He worked as a police officer for the city of Sheridan for 18 12 years. In 1970, he moved to Rawlins and again worked in law enforcement, employed at the Wyoming State Penitentiary. He retired in 1987 as deputy warden. He served his country in the U.S. Marine Corps during World War II.

He married Bonnie Rose Vinyard on Jan. 30, 1947, in Sheridan. Survivors include his wife of Rawlins, children, David Walton and his wife of Rapid City, S.D., Gary Walton and his wife of Rawlins, Mary Kay Gonzales and her husband of Cheyenne; Laura Spilski and her husband of Rawlins and Jeffrey Walton and his friend of Rawlins; a brother, Harold of Aurora, two sisters, Gloria Sickel of Sheridan and Marcia Chalfant of Gillette; eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents. Memorials in lieu of flowers may be made to the American Heart Association or the American Diabetes Association.

After graduating from Sheridan High School in 1933, he went to work for Wyoming Coal Company in Monarch. He married Jeanne Day on June 19, 1938, and after the mines closed, they moved to Sheridan, where he worked for Mullinax Concrete Service until his retirement in 1979. He was involved In Webb Wright Baseball and was honored for five decades of service to Sheridan County youth and baseball. He was appointed by Gov. Herschler to serve on the Wyoming Recreation Commission.

In 1980, he was named out standing man in recreation by the Sheridan Recreation Department and received the state of Wyoming recreation achievement award in June 1988. Some of his memberships Included Eagles Lodges, Sheridan Athletic Association, Holy Name Catholic Church and the Sheridan Quarterback Club. He was preceded in death by his parents, his sister, Kathryn Kobielusz and brothers. John "Chig" Madia and S.J. "Chick" Madia.
