Nancy Claire Seeburg Cummings BOWIE, Md. Services for former Wyoming resident Nancy Claire Seeburg Cummings, 68, were conducted May 22, 2001, at St. PiusX Catholic Church in Bowie. Burial will be at 1 p.m. June 7 in Arlington National Cemetery.

She died May 17, 2001, at her home in Bowie, from a 5 12 month battle with brain cancer. She was born Dec. 20, 1932, in Rock Springs. On Dec. 28, 1953, she married John Bliss Cummings.

She graduated from the University of Wyoming in 1954 with a bachelor degree in education and Bowie State University in 1975 with a master's in early childhood education. She was a certified infant massage instruct a teacher at St. Matthew's Nursery School and Kenilworth, Yorktown and Rockledge elementary schools from 1968 to 1983; and an instructor at Anne Arundel Community College. One of the first residents of Bowie, she had lived there 40 years and was a charter member of Belair Woman's Club. She traveled extensively and had lived in Cairo, Egypt, for 1 12 years.

She was a member of Kappa Kappa Gamma Sorority, St. Pius Catholic Church and the National Education Association; on the board of directors of Prince George's Educators' Association; and a member and past president of the Wyoming State Society. She was a eucharistic minister, lector and lay president at St. Pius; a diehard Democrat; and an advocate for women's and children's rights. She enjoyed pumping iron and working out.

LL Bud Surles officiating. Cremation has taken place. He died at his home May 19, 2001. He was born March 4, 1933, in the family homestead on Crazy Woman Creek, the son of Edward E. and Amanda Mae (Dillian) Hubbard.

He attended school in Gillette and graduated from Campbell County High School in 1951. While in high school, he worked on several Campbell County ranches. He served in the National Guard. In 1955, he went to work for Mountain States Telephone and Telegraph, which later became part of Mountain Bell and, more recently, US West. He worked in Casper until 1958, then was transferred to Worland.

On March 2, 1963, he married Janice Piel. They moved to Yellowstone in 1975, where he was the manager for Mountain Bell until early retirement in 1987. The couple returned to Worland in 1994 and started Greenhouse. He was an avid hunter and fisherman and loved to travel for as long as he was able and visit with people. He enjoyed rebuilding old homes and wildlife photography.

He was a lifetime member of Telephone Pioneers and a charter member of Gardiner, Lions Club, Toastmasters and Elks Lodge. Survivors include his wife of Worland; four sons, Daniel C. Hubbard and his wife of Perkins, Tim Chamberlain and his wife of Stillwater, Jim Hubbard of Salt Lake City and Ray Shurtz and his wife of Dingle, Idaho; three daughters, Jody C. Mecklenburg and her husband of El Reno, Kelly Franklin and her husband of Stillwater and Susie Martin of Clearfield, Utah; two brothers and their wives, Robert Hubbard of Denver and John Hubbard of Gillette; and five sisters, Marge McKenzie of Gillette, Betty Hubbard Cole and her husband of Story, Mona Hubbard Wayne and her husband of Columbia Falls, Peggy Hubbard Faler and her husband of Thermopolis and Pauline Hubbard Raver and her husband of Worland; his mother-in-law; a brother-in-law and sister-in-law; 14 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. He died May 19, 2001, at Canyon Hills Manor in Thermopolis, following a lengthy illness. He was active in Four Square Church in Sheridan and was a competitor in Special Olympics for many years. He loved to dance. Survivors include his mother and stepfather, Donna (Elsom) and Carlisle Arno of Buffalo; his father of Damon, Texas; two sisters, Christa Brunson Seger of Billings, and Kyann Arno of Buffalo; a brother, Dakota Arno of Buffalo; his maternal grandparents, Don and Dorothy Elsom of Buffalo; his paternal grandmother, Mary Lou Brunson of Wills Point, Texas; his step-grandparents, Jim and Shirley Arno of Buffalo; numerous aunts and uncles; several cousins; two nephews; and a niece. Brunson Memorial Fund for Disabilities. Edgar Floyd 'Ed' Harwood BASIN A memorial service for Basin resident Edgar Floyd "Ed" Harwood, 76, will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday at Masonic Temple Lodge No. 20, A.F. A.M., in Basin, with Pastor Leon Harwood officiating.

He died May 20, 2001, at his home, surrounding by his family. He was born March 30, 1925, in Adams County, N.D., the son of Frank James and Eva (Wilkins) Ha-wood. His family moved to Spearfish, S.D., in 1936. In World War II. he enlisted in the Navy, serving on the USS Anzio in the South Pacific.

After his discharge, he returned to his home in Spearfish in 1946, where he met and married Neoma Jones. In 1948, they moved to Upton, where he was in the building business. They later moved to Buffalo and Pine Haven. In 1976. they moved to the Big Horn Basin, where he started farming.

The greatest joys of his life were his family and flying small private airplanes. He was past president and a member of the Midway Golf Club. Basin Eagles Aerie No. 3086 Lodge, and the Experimental Aircraft Association. Survivors include his wife of Basin: one daughter.

She was born Aug. 12. 1932, in Sheridan, the daughter ol George and Gladys (Hann) Ostrom. She graduated from high school in Big Horn. She worked as a lx)kkeeper at First National Bank in Sheridan until marrying Rolxnl Kaufmann on Oct.

10. 1953, in Sheridan. They ranched on the family ranc on Piney Creek and she was involved with her children in Rodeo Club. 4-11 and FFA. She moved into Sheridan in the early where she loved bring involved with her grandchildren, teaching them to fish and other activities.

She enjoyed gardening, yard work, playing poker and the slots, fishing and camping. She loved her dog Lilly and cat Sam. Survivors include two daughters, Jeanne Camino of Clearmont and Carol Keeline of 11 a.m. Thursday at Memorial Chapel Funeral Home, with Irwin "Jug" Brandjord officiating. today at the funeral home. He died May 19, 2001, at his home. He was born Feb. 24, 1906, in Findlay, Ohio, the son of Mack and Hetty (Sheldon) Woodward. He worked on farms, was a roughneck on drilling rigs in Kansas and ran a ditch digger in the early 1930s, laying gas pipelines from the Dakotas to Georgia.

On Aug. 23, 1936, he married Laura Arta Wilber in Humboldt, Kaa, and they moved to Casper in 1937 from Humboldt. He worked at Eric Moline's Texaco station and, from 1943 to 1955, for Lane Wells. In 1955, he was employed at Casper Truck Center in Mills, continuing until his retirement. He loved spending time with his family and grandchildren, fishing, relaxing at Woody 's Hide a Way on Casper Mountain and baseball.

Survivors include his beloved wife of 64 years of Casper; a son, Mack Woodward of Casper; a brother, Robert E. Woodward of Oklahoma City; five grandchildren; and 12 greatgrandchildren. George Kimble SHERIDAN -Funeral services for George Kimble, 86, will be conducted at 11 a.m. today at Champion Ferries Funeral Home, with Pastor Bob Miller officiating. He died May 20. 2001, at Westview Health Care Center in Sheridan. He was born Dec.

23, 1914, on the old George Bethurem ranch in the Prairie Dog Creek area, the son of Charles and Flavel (Bethurem) Kimble. He was raised on a homestead near Otter, where he rode horses to the Gopher School before coming to Sheridaa He graduated from Sheridan High School. On May 21, 1938, he married Leola Stewart in Sheridan. During World War II, they moved to San Francisco, where he worked for a defense contractor. They returned to Sheridan after the war and he worked as a carpenter.

His favorite part of the job was sanding many of the wood floors in area homes and the Sheridan College Golden Dome. He enjoyed camping in the mountains with his family: woodworking in his shop; and, later in life, going for rides in the country. He was a member of the SOS support group. She was raised and educated in Basin, graduating from Basin High School. She attended Rocky Mountain College in Billings, and the University of Wyoming. On May 29, 1941, she married Francis L. "Hamie" Hamilton in Evanston. Her first year of teaching was in Stringtown School in Otto.

She then went to work for Consolidated Aircraft in the experimental department during the war years. She returned to teaching in Greybull during World War II and taught kindergarten in the basement of her home in Greybull. She then taught in Basin from 1957 to 1987; and. following her retirement, taught adults to read. She was a member of Order of Eastern Star 1 odge Fern No.

31 in Greybull. the Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary, Daughters of the Nile, and the Wyoming and National education associations. She loved the mountains, enjoyed traveling and reading books, and especially loved being with her grandchildren. Survivors include her husband of Greybull; three children, Diane Hamilton of Littleton, Darlene Hopkin of Goldonne, and Patrick Hamilton of Sheridan; eight grandchildren; seven greatgrandchildren; and a sister. He moved to Gillette and worked there for two years. For the last two years, he lived and worked in Sheridan. He was born May 29, 1916, in St. Leo, the son of Joseph and Mary Tholkes. The family moved to Munich, N.D., when he was a year old.

He was raised and educated in Munich and graduated from Munich High School in 1934. After moving to Cody, he met and married Cleo J. Harry on March 27, 1940. They were the parents of four children. He was the coK)wner of the Standard Oil service station for many years and worked in area oil fields.

The family moved to Las Vegas, where he worked at the Nevada Nuclear Testing Site for 15 years. They returned to Wyoming, wherche worked as a consultant in the oil fields until retirement. He was a lifetime member of the Elks Club. Survivors include his wife of Lander; three daughters and their husbands, Mary Anne Thorson of Lander, Conine Clark of Bloomington, and Debi Fincher of Ridgecrest, a son, Larry Tholkes and his wife of Kinder, eight grandchildren; 13 greatgrandchildren; two brothers; and two sisters. He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers and a sister.

and Margaret J. (Nicholson) Lowe. He was raised and educated in Burlington and attended Ricks College in Idaho, Northwest College in Powell and Casper College. He married Carol Evet Peterson of Emblem. They were the parents of five children.

He worked for the city of Powell and Wyoming Gas Co. before going to work for Big Horn Electric on May 1, 1975. He worked there for 26 years before becoming too ill to continue. He found ranch life to be peaceful and enjoyed his horses. He attended many Ray Hunt clinics and was a horse gentler.

He was talented and conscientious; enjoyed braiding leather and working as a mechanic; loved people and his family; and was known for his sense of humor and smile. Survivors include his wife; two sons, Eric and his fiancee and Nathan; three daughters, Kimberly and her husband, Wendy and her fiance and Vicki; a grandson; a granddaughter; a brother, Randy, and his wife; his parents; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, in-laws, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his Grandmother and Grandfather Nicholson.
